La I Carrera Solidaria de las Enfermedades Reumáticas pretende dar a conocer a la sociedad la situación de nuestros pacientes y el compromiso de la Especialidad de Reumatología con su realidad cotidiana.
¿Por qué una carrera por las enfermedades reumáticas?
Más de 10 millones de personas sufren distintas enfermedades reumáticas en España. Algunas de ellas, como la artrosis, son más conocidas entre la población. Pero otras como la Artritis Reumatoide, el Lupus, la Esclerosis Sistémica, el Síndrome de Sjögren, la Artritis Idiopática Juvenil, y decenas de enfermedades son mucho más desconocidas, al igual que los médicos especializados en diagnosticarlas y tratarlas: los Reumatólogos.
La Junta Directiva de la Sociedad de Reumatología de la Comunidad de Madrid (SORCOM) se propuso dar visibilidad a los grandes protagonistas de estas enfermedades: los pacientes. Se nos ocurrió organizar un evento festivo al que pudieran acudir no sólo ellos sino sus asociaciones, sus familiares y amigos, los Reumatólogos, y cualquier persona que quisiera apoyar la visibilidad de estas enfermedades, que cada vez tienen tratamientos más eficaces que consiguen que estos pacientes lleven una vida plena. Además, nos propusimos que este proyecto tuviera un fin 100% solidario.
De este modo, se nos ocurrió organizar la I Carrera Solidaria por los Pacientes con Enfermedades Reumáticas. Con esta carrera pretendemos dar a conocer a la sociedad la situación de nuestros pacientes y el compromiso de la Especialidad de Reumatología con su realidad cotidiana.
¿A dónde va la recaudación de la carrera?
Los fondos recaudados de las inscripciones serán destinados íntegramente a una asociación de pacientes con Enfermedades Reumáticas de ámbito nacional o de la Comunidad de Madrid. Para ello, SORCOM ha realizado una convocatoria invitando a asociaciones de pacientes con enfermedades reumáticas a inscribirse, solicitando como único requisito que enviasen un proyecto explicando en qué invertirían los beneficios de la carrera en el caso de ser su asociación la agraciada en recibir los fondos recaudados. Dicha asociación se elegirá mediante sorteo ante Notario cuyas bases son las siguientes.
Si no formo parte de ninguna asociación de pacientes, ¿puedo participar?
¡Por supuesto que sí! Tanto si eres de una asociación de pacientes que no ha enviado ningún proyecto, como si no formas parte de ninguna y quieres venir simplemente a apoyar la iniciativa de la carrera eres más que bienvenido/a.
Sólo necesitas pasar por el apartado “Inscripción” de la web de la carrera.
¿Cuándo y dónde es?
La carrera se celebrará el DOMINGO 2 DE JUNIO por la mañana dentro de el PARQUE NORTE de Madrid, frente al Hospital Universitario La Paz. En breve os informaremos de la hora exacta de inicio de la carrera, así como de la información de la recogida de dorsales que tendrá lugar el día de antes.
¿Qué modalidades hay?
- Marcha de 2.5 kilómetros.
- Carrera de 5 kilómetros: con cronómetro en meta y medalla para los 3 primeros.
- Carrera de 10 kilómetros: con cronómetro en meta y medalla para los 3 primeros.
